An Open Letter to All Men. Dear Men, It may or may not have occurred to you, but women have an inseparable connection with shopping and fashion, or more specifically with Mango and Zara. During a Mango Sale, predatory instincts surface and cat fights occur as woman fight for the coveted dress/shirt/belt/(insert appropriate fashion item here). The scenes are ugly, and really, not for your eyes. That is the reason why, you should never tag along with your women on a shopping trip to the above-mentioned places, and even more so, during a Mango Sale. Not only does your presence inhibit your girl's predatory instincts from surfacing, you also get in the way of other women who are snatching for that last coveted item. Your glum face and indifferent expression also doesn't help. Do us a favour, will you? The next time you go shopping with your girl at a Mango/Zara/Massimo Dutti/River Island/Ted Baker Sale, kindly excuse yourself from your girl, and head over to the men'a/sports/magazines section. For the first time in my life, my urge to spend is SO HIGH. I mean, I just want to buy and buy and buy!!! It's so horrible, because I want to save up also, but every shop is tempting me into parting with my money. Mid-season Sale, End-season Sale, Relocation Sale. Even humble ol' Watsons is tempting me to part with my money. Even worse, with the impending GST increase next month, there is also a need to get all my big ticket items, including phone (done!), contacts (done!), spectacles, work clothes, mattress, LCD TV, MP3 player, more shoes, car, house, plane, air tickets, hotel stays. And as you can obviously tell as the list gets more ridiculous, that of course, I am not going to get ALL the things on my big ticket item list. And damn those school kids for crowding out the entire shopping centre. I cannot even have lunch in Bugis at 2pm because the food court is completely full!!!! I'm so glad it's the third week of holidays and they are going back to school soon. Btw, Happy Graduation to Terrence and Maine and Clifford (though i know urs is in mid-July)!!!
