I get this every year... but nonetheless I still do it. It's like being addicted, I just can't let go, and now that it has come and gone, I have to wait another year just to get my fix again. I can't stand the waiting but like I said, I am addicted and I just have to get my fix...

Addicted to what, you may ask. Well to this...

Believe it or not, I started reading this series since I was 14 or 15 in the old Queenstown library, when librarians still stamp your books. 10 years later I am still reading it faithfully. This book is put under the "Young People's Fiction", and unfortunately and sadly, I have grown up faster than PRN could write, and now I just wait every year for the next book (she publishes one Alice book every year, in between she writes other books). Not just me, if you read the Amazon reviews, a lot of them are my age. :)

And so every March, I search online for an excerpt, every June/July, I go to Borders to search for the book, every October, I go to the library to look for it if I haven't read it yet (at Borders). As you can see I am a lil late this year in securing the book, but nonetheless I have and I am glad I did. This is one of the best books in the series and damn it, I have to wait another year again for the next one.

The series will finally end when Alice goes to college and she is in her junior year now, and there are 3 books for every "Alice" year and I have counted, by the time I finish reading the entire series of books when she FINALLY finished writing the series, I will be 31, at least.

Sigh. The waiting starts again.

Btw, this series was mentioned in the Straits Times on Saturday, cuz the top scoring PSLE student listed this as her favourite series too. Great minds think alike. :)
