Japanese again. The same shop in Shinjuku, the same faces. This time the meguro is not as good, but the ika and the salmon and the ikura is as good as ever. This Japanese ah-pek started talking to me. He is a friend of the chef's as evidenced by the greetings and the free flow beer when he arrived. He told me that the chef used to work in Singapore as a sushi chef. He also told me that Singapore is good. Best thing? He shared with me his sashimi, seeing that I am eating my sushi without the rice. His hoya and his yasui and his meguro. For no reason at all. Simply because we are sitting next to each other and we are talking. The most surprising thing? He doesn't speak English at all.
